Paul has brought sensitivity, energy and ideas to his jazz and salsa performances for many years. He was a member of Bochinche when readers of the Seattle Weekly voted it “Best Band” in 1990. He has played throughout North America, at venues including the Mount Hood Jazz Festival, the Visiting Artists Series at the University of Alaska, Anchorage, and the Sounds of Brazil in New York City. Most recently, his greatest joy is playing jazz standards.
Steve grew up in the Chicago area in the late 60s, and was playing in blues bands by age 14 throughout the northern suburbs. After college he played full-time and professionally in touring top 40 and rhythm and blues bands. Over many years his tastes have migrated to a more “chamber jazz” approach – with primary interest in melodic interpretations of jazz standards.
